#4286798 Salma Hayek took the day to spend time with the ladies in her life with a trip to the Grove in Los Angeles, California on December 29, 2009. Diana Hayek enjoyed time with her daughter Salma, granddaughter Valentina Paloma Pinault and step granddaughter Mathide Pinault who is in town for the holidays with a smile. The lovely ladies made a stop at the ice cream parlor and looked to be in heaven as the walked through the Grove with the chilly treat. Mathide, who flew into town last night with father Fran?ois-Henri Pinault and brother Francois, seemed very comfortable with her Step mother Salma and half sister Valintina holding hands and chatting with them as they tour the outside mall.

Triple Falls is an often photographed waterfall in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, and I am sure you will see several of them even here on flickr. I had heard a lot of hype about Triple Falls and had seen a few images of it and was impressed to see the three segmented cascades. It really does look great, but in my opinion, this waterfall suffers from a problem (unique for Oregon but very common in Washington Waterfalls) of not having a direct way to get down to the base of the falls. I am assuming (using simple logic) that if you could literally travel along Oneonta Creek you would eventually make your way to the base of these falls. It photographs extremely well even in tricky lighting as it was on this day, but I had made the major hike expecting to see something like Snoqualmie Falls in Washington, so this was a little anti-climatic, just a little. But it is not everyday you get to see three separate 85 foot cascades spaced like this, so I am sure I am just being a little nitpicky. Or maybe when you see over 30 waterfalls in three days you start to lose a little track of which ones you like the best, because I have to admit when I view this image, it really is quite spectacular and not I might be starting to buy into the hype. This image was captured in August 2009 with my Nikon D90. Enjoy!
